Systems Engineer with technical background in Engineering or Computer Science and experience overseeing development contractors. Knowledge of Electrical Engineering, RF, sensor systems, software, signal processing, or communications networks is helpful.
Assist the government finding and engaging development contractors then putting them under contract for systems development. Generate System Requirement Documents (SRDs). Work closely with the development contractors during requirements development, system design and development, test and integration. Ability to develop technical understanding of mission and requirements required. Knowledge of state of the art technology in embedded systems and/or signal processing is helpful. Review development contractors’ products including derived requirements, design documents, test plans, test procedures, test results, and witness testing for products such as sensors and communications systems. Assist in all activities through design, development, test, deployment, and operations.
Perform command and control for deployed systems including interfacing with appropriate Gov. agencies. Oversee data conditioning of systems and keep deployed equipment updated.
Knowledge of ICD 503 security accreditation for systems is helpful.
